On September 9, 2025, in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, ZGIEC successfully signed a contract with Obeikan Glass Company of Saudi Arabia, launching the Phase II project — a 650-ton-per-day float glass production line. It will manufacture automotive glass with a thickness ranging from 1.2 mm to 12 mm, which represents the highest standard in float glass, to meet the growing demand of the automotive market both domestically in Saudi Arabia and internationally. After the project is put into operation, this Phase II production line will become the first of its kind in the Middle East and is set to become a leader in the local market.

The commissioning of this production line will support the advancement of Saudi Arabias Vision 2030, while further consolidating Obeikan Glass Companys position as a reliable supplier in both the local and global markets.
